3 Day LFT Training Course

Professional intensive 3 day LFT training course held at the Sigma academy on the South coast. This training course is for all installers with a minimum of 5 years experience within the tiling sector. It's also available for Businesses, Contractors and Fabricators. This course is held on the last weekend of each month from Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lunch is included every day along with refreshments at any given time. Attendees will be provided with PPE apart from footwear and notepads to keep track of what you are learning.  

What's included withing the 3 days?  

Day1: Attendees will learn about LFT slabs such as sizes, thicknesses wall and floor applications. You will learn how to correctly set out using datum lines for precision allowing for only a 2mm top and bottom space. Attendees will then work in pairs on their own enclosure. You learn how to correctly handle the LFT tiles using the correct products required for your project. A niche will be cut from the tile with internal mitred edges along with drilling holes for pipework. This will take all day from 8.30am till 4.30pm.

Day2: Attendees will arrive at 8.30am and will pick up from day1 where you will learn about the correct adhesive required for LFT mesh backed or un-meshed surfaces. Attendees will then have to install the LFT finished piece into position ensuring beforehand that everything is correct. You will then need to complete the box section for the waste pipe mitring full lengths top to bottom with a 1mm tight joint. Then the internal miche cut, mitred and installed along with the final piece from the box section. finish 4.30pm

Day3: Final day starts at 8.30am where overnight your work would have set ready for the resin work. You will learn about different resin applications and colour mixing to match your complete work. All mitred edges such as niche's and waste pipe section will need to be filled and attendees will mix and apply their own resin to each part. When dry, attendees will need to work the resin and clean to a high standard for the finished project. 

All attendees will be provided with a certificate of completion from HQ Tiling Ltd and a goodie bag of Sigma products to take away with them.
